2020年5月，新冠疫情防控关键时期，健康与公共卫生学院成立，诞生之初就肩负着上海市公共卫生人才培养的重任。秉承学校“健康促进”理念，致力于应用型公共卫生人才培养，与研究型高校错位发展，填补上海本科应用型公共卫生人才培养的空白。

    我院始终坚持以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指导，以学校“应用型、特色性、国际化”办学定位为基本方向，立德树人，培养具有健全人格与心理，具有行业引领潜质的人类健康维护者、促进者。

食品卫生与营养学

    培养适应社会主义现代化建设需要的德、智、体、美、劳全面发展，具备基础医学、临床医学及预防医学知识背景和食品工程基础，掌握扎实的营养学、食品科学、食品安全和食品法律法规理论知识，擅长营养指导与宣教、饮食治疗、食品安全监管、食品质量品控、预防与保健等技能，能从事临床营养、食品安全、预防与保健相关职业群一线工作岗位的高端应用技术型人才。学制四年，授予理学学士学位。

公共事业管理专业

    公共事业管理专业具有鲜明的特色定位，围绕“构建起强大的公共卫生体系，为维护人民健康提供有力保障”这一国家战略，培养适应公共卫生与健康事业发展需要，德、智、体、美、劳全面发展，具有良好人文素养和职业素质，具备一定的医学和公共卫生知识和技能，掌握系统的现代公共管理基本理论、知识和技能，具备高度社会责任感、创新精神和基层实践能力的应用型管理专门人才。为上海乃至国家的公共卫生领域构建人才“蓄水池”，满足国家强化公共管理体系的需要。学制四年，授予管理学学士学位。

预防医学专业

    培养适应预防医学事业发展需要，德、智、体、美、劳全面发展，熟悉基础医学和临床医学相关知识与技能，并熟练掌握公共卫生与预防医学专业相关知识与技能，具备流行病学调查与分析、大数据分析、信息流行病学和应急管理等综合思维以及知识迭代能力，能够在基层公共卫生部门从事常规公共卫生服务、流行病学调查与疾病防控、突发公共卫生事件应急管理、人群健康相关状况监测、公共卫生政策和相关法律法规执法、健康教育和健康促进活动的复合应用型预防医学人才。学制五年，授予医学学士学位。

The College of Public Health was established in May 2020 under the background of the Covid-19 epidemic. It adheres to the university‘s principle of  promoting health and closely follows the needs of the development of public health in Shanghai. Our college takes the fundamental task of cultivating virtue and cultivating people, developing in dislocation with other universities, cultivating health +, compound, and application-oriented public health talents, in order to build a solid foundation for Shanghai's public health grass-root network. There are three undergraduate majors: food hygiene and nutrition、public affair administration and preventive medicine.

The Major of Food Hygiene and Nutrition

The major of Food Hygiene and Nutrition cultivates top applied technical talents with, 1) the knowledge background of basic medicine, clinical medicine ,and preventive medicine, and the knowledge foundation of food engineering, 2) solid theoretical knowledge of nutriology, food science, food safety and food laws and regulations, 3) being skilled at nutrition instruction and education, diet treatment, food safety surveillance, food quality control, prevention and health care, and 4) being competent in positions like clinical nutrition, food safety, prevention and health care. A bachelor’s degree of science will be awarded after four years study.

The Major of Public Affair Administration

The public affair administration major has a distinctive positioning, focusing on the national strategy of building a strong public health system and providing strong guarantees for maintaining people's health”. We cultivate applied administration talents adapted to the development needs of public health and health undertakings, all-round developed, with good humanistic quality and professional quality, with certain medical and public health knowledge and skills, mastering the basic theory, knowledge, and skills of systematic modern public administration, and having a high sense of social responsibility, innovative spirit, and practical ability. We aim to build a talent pool for the public health cause of Shanghai and even the whole country and  to strengthen the public administration system of the nation. A bachelor's degree in management will be awarded after four years of schooling.

The Major of Preventive Medicine

The major of preventive medicine cultivates the comprehensive applied preventive medicine talents who have the ability to adapt to the development needs of preventive medicine, who develop morality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labor in an all-round way, who are familiar with basic medicine and clinical medicine related knowledge and skills, master public health and preventive medicine related knowledge and skills, who have comprehensive thinking and knowledge iteration capabilities such as epidemiological investigation and analysis, big data analysis, information epidemiology and emergency management, who can engage in routine public health services, epidemiological investigation and disease prevention and control, emergency management of public health emergencies, monitoring of population health related conditions, enforcement of public health policies and relevant laws and regulations, health education and health promotion activities in grass-roots public health departments. After five years of learning, the students will be conferred with a bachelor's degree in medicine.
